Jewelry: A great gift for any occasion
Jewels-Bling and more for Fathers’ Day, Graduations, Engagements, Weddings, and any occasion. Jewelry is very plentiful in our Valley whether you are looking for 14K and 18K, Italian Custom, Costume, Vintage, Antique and every special jewelry store, clothing stores, vintage shops, antique stores, pawn shops, Street Fairs, and gift shops. Jewelry is Everywhere! We have the treasures and it just takes you to get out and be willing to discover where to find the treasures you want. That includes finding the best deal on what you want. You can know more and decide better what to buy, by learning from the owners of various stores what they can tell you about the jewelry you are looking for. Many stores have specialty items and specialty features on items to show you. For instance, I have an Italian diamond face and embellished diamond watch and for two years I have been trying everywhere to get it cleaned. Everyone has refused but not at Boucher Jewelers. At this La Quinta store the first thing they asked was to clean my jewelry, including my watch. After five days, I am still amazed at the magnificent shine on all my bling.
Palm Desert: I was at In the Hutch, on 74210 Highway 111, Palm Desert. I was blown away by the beautiful handmade jewelry there for only $20.00 in designs, where I believe other stores would charge $75.00 plus for well designed handmade jewelry. I really marveled at the wonderful owners of this store and told them how helpful they were. Many good deals can be had for the asking, and the choices are incredible with many things within each person’s budget and to their taste.
The items we picture will give you an idea of their special designs and very great prices. Believe it or not, the designer of the jewelry shown is 88 years old and far from retirement in New York. She left to design beautiful jewelry. She may do it to feel productive, but what she produces is wonderful in design and price, and that is so exciting for all of ourselves. Pins are very popular in this store, as are vintage pieces. Owner, Saundra Salotti, loves what she does, and it certainly shows in her store, and you ought to go and see the cases of jewelry to be had at wonderful prices.
I hear constantly, Up Valley is too far, and others say Down Valley is too far. Guess what? The trip from West to East or East to West is usually well worth the time and trouble, as it allows you to find the treasures that I am always talking about. All stores have air conditioning, lovely surroundings and much to admire and purchase. I challenge you to go exploring like I do, and you to can rave about your find to your friends.
La Quinta: Boucher Fine Jewelry mentioned in the opening paragraph is at 46-660 Washington Street, La Quinta in the Jensen’s Market center. The owners, Baird and Lauren are definitely two new jewels in our desert. Hospitality, selection, great Italian designers which are exclusive to them, and pricing that can’t be beat. They have a wholesale and retail operation, which allows them to offer excellent prices. Many selections of Italian jewelry make their store a must see. You can find jewelry from the Asian cultures, which definitely is a different look than European jewelry. The owners pride themselves having a store with the look of a jewelry salon. The soft colors attract your eye to the jewelry and not to wild textures and colors which detract from interest in the jewelry on display. As I stated earlier, their jewelry cleaning is second to none. They also do jewelry repairs and special designs. They have a great collection of diamond engagement rings. The store is open six days a week and has been open for only a few months. The Italian lines they represent and feature are Bizzotto, and Franco Giaccari.
For men cufflinks are a big thing, and they carry a nice collection in many colors of stones. Also displayed is the great love of jewelry, especially those created by the owner , which he calls “kissed by the sea.” The designer is owner Lauren. A fleur de lis is adorned with the name, Boucher, in honor of his family heritage from Canada.
The store has a homey feeling which adds to your comfort. Stop by and mention that you read about them in the Desert Entertainer, and get your bling the cleanest you have ever seen. They support several of local charities. To all of you Rolex owners they clean and service them on site.
